FAQs w/ the quick answers
What is Themed Housing?
Themed Housing is a community of 25-40 upper-class students who choose to live in one of four different areas including Green House, Health and Wellness, Language and International House and Leadership.
Why should I live in one?
As a member of a Themed House, you'll have increased opportunities to interact with university faculty and staff and develop strong relationships with your fellow students. Themed Housing members will be able to create their own living environment through campus resources, programs and seminars.
Where would I live?
The four themed housing LLC’s are located in Samuelson and Carter Residence Halls, which are located in the Campus Commons. Please note Honors upperclass will be housed in Milton Daniel Fall 2010.
Is there extra work I have to do or a class I have to take because I’m in Themed Housing?
Extra work will not be required of you just because you live in a particular LLC; however, there will be many opportunities for you to get involved with activities in the hall or you can create your own for the group! What you put into it is what you will get out of it.
How do I sign up?
At the end of January, be on the look-out for the Themed Housing application. You will fill out the application, and acceptance will be determined shortly after the application is received. A perk of signing up for a themed housing is that you receive priority housing placement in Samuelson and Carter!
Who can I contact in case I have a specific question about Themed Housing?
You may contact either NIcolette Avner (n.avner@tcu.edu) or David Cooper (david.cooper@tcu.edu) for more information.
