Brachman Hall

WELCOME
Known for their close knit co-ed community, Brachman residents enjoy various events, including frequent pool and ping pong competitions in the game room and cookouts on the lawn. There are kitchens and lounges on all three floors where residents gather to watch television, play video games or study. Named in honor of Solomon and Etta Brachman, whose generous philanthropic efforts included TCU, this co-ed hall houses approximately 150 freshmen students for the academic year 2008-2009. Whether studying in the first floor classrooms, enjoying the movie room, or relaxing in the lobby, Brachman residents embrace their strong, diverse community comprised mainly of freshmen and sophomore students.

HISTORY
Brachman Hall is named in honor of Solomon and Etta Brachman. In 1955, Mr. Brachman was a leader in raising funds for the construction of the School of Business building, Dan E. Rogers Hall. A Texas banker and oilman, Mr. Brachman was a member of the TCU Board of Trustees from 1950 until his death in 1974. He and Mrs. Brachman were generous contributors to the University.
