Other Details

Bedding:  All first-year halls have extra long twin (80”) beds.  Make sure you bring a blanket and pillow as well.

Hanging Room Décor:  Double-sided poster tape or 3M strips may be useful for 1-2 months, but have shown to leave damages in our residence halls in the past when used for a full semester. We suggest using small nails (¾” nails) for heavy items and blue painters tape for lightweight items. Flat screen television sets cannot be anchored to the wall.

Internet: Each residence hall room provides connection to the residence hall computer network. This network gives you access to the Internet, electronic mail, and the library system. Questions may be directed to the TCU Help Desk at 817/257-5855.

Kitchen Appliances: A MicroFridge® (refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven unit) approved by the University is provided in every hall room, except in the Tom Brown/Pete Wright Apartment Community. No other microwave and refrigerator are permitted in rooms.  Appliances prohibited in the residence halls include: hot plate, toaster, crock pot, toaster oven, lava lamps, rice cookers, electric frying pan, deep fryer, automatic coffee makers, ceiling fan, window fan, air conditioner, space heater and halogen lamps.
