Empower Your Student

You've spent many years preparing your student for this moment! And you've done your job well. You have nurtured them mentally, physically and spiritually and now they have come of age and are ready for their college responsibilities.

Encourage your student to check their TCU e-mail on a daily basis. TCU e-mail is a recognized official means of communication and your student will receive important emails regarding registration, housing signups and academic alerts. If your student chooses to forward their TCU e-mail to another provider such as hotmail or yahoo please encourage them to continue to monitor their TCU e-mail to ensure they receive all important notifications and deadlines that will affect them.

Financial responsibility is a very real learning experience for your student. TCU sends their student bills to the address that is provided by the student. In some cases the bill is sent home to good ol' Mom and Dad. The bill is in the student's name and is the student's bill… they are the responsible party for all charges that is incurred while attending TCU. A conversation about financial responsibility and encouraging your student to be responsible will empower them!

Other ways that your student can benefit from their years in college is for them to take advantage of the many resources available to them at TCU.
