Diversity Poster

In the spring of 2009, Housing and Residence Life sponsored the 1st Annual TCU Diversity Poster Competition. This program was the first of its kind at TCU, and was open to all students currently enrolled at the university with the desire to capture the look, feel and character of diversity. Our goal for initiating this program was to promote education and awareness of global diversity issues throughout our campus by encouraging students to artistically create their own reflection of diversity. We had six submissions, and each poster was judged by TCU Student Affairs staff based on the following criteria: creativity, expression of ideas, originality, visual appeal and message appeal. The winning poster was photocopied for distribution, displayed across campus, and now serves at a visual representation of TCU’s commitment to diversity.  This poster will also be proudly displayed in the residence halls when students return for the Fall 2009 Semester.
Additionally, the other submissions were used as advertising for the Diversity Celebration Kick Off event this past April. This year’s winner was Senior Advertising and Public Relations major, Rolando Guerrero, Jr.
