TCU’s first annual Tunnel of Oppression was held April 14th and 15th, 2009. The Tunnel’s mission was to address issues of social justice and oppression throughout the world. Ten rooms, sponsored by student organizations, individual students and staff, created an intense, insightful and informational experience for all who entered the Tunnel. Whether a participant was shocked by the graphic images or moved to tears from the stories of another’s experience, this maze made an impact on all who took the walk. The 2009 TCU Tunnel of Oppression was sponsored by Housing and Residence Life, Inclusiveness and Intercultural Services and Fraternity and Sorority Life. We plan to implement this program again in April of 2010. For more information about becoming involved in the 2010 TCU Tunnel of Oppression, please visit this website at a later date or contact Trisha Teig, t.teig@tcu.edu . Thank you to all who created, shared and experienced. We look forward to doing it again!
