Welcome to Horned Frog Student Housing

Craig Allen

Craig Allen
Director,
Housing and Residence Life

On behalf of Housing and Residence Life I want to welcome you to residential living here at TCU! As a TCU resident student you will have many opportunities to interact with students, faculty and staff as you learn to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens. You will find that Housing and Residence Life staff – your RA, Hall Director, or any of us in the central office are here to help you make the most of your TCU campus living experience. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our web resources, and if there is something you would like to see us add to these pages, please let us know by writing to us via our Ask a Question page.

TCU is a residential campus by design. Approximately half of the undergraduate population lives in one of eleven residence halls or one of eight fraternity and ten sorority houses.

Each residence hall is administered by a Hall Director; each fraternity or sorority by a Program Coordinator. Hall Directors are full-time, live-in professionals who are assisted by Resident Assistants (RAs) who are undergraduate students living in each building. Each residence hall staff offers students the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and programs. These same types of activities occur in fraternities and sororities, but the chapter officers and members take responsibility for planning.

All residents are encouraged to take the initiative in developing a hall environment most suitable for residents. Freedom within limits is the guiding principle just as it is in other communities that make up society. Further information about housing can be found in the Residence Hall Overview section of this web site.

Wherever a student lives, staff members are available for resource and referral information as well as specific requests relating to individual need. Housing and Residence Life is located in the basement of Samuelson Hall, Room 001. The telephone number is (817) 257-7865 and via our Ask a Question page.

This web site was developed as a tool for both potential and current students to evaluate the options of residential living at TCU. Our Frog Parent section will allow parents of TCU residents to encourage and empower their students.

The links to the left lead to informative pages detailing almost every aspect of living on campus. If you're a new or prospective student, we have provided a special section called Prospective Students. Whether you are a high school student wondering what it's like to live on a college campus or a senior at TCU, we're confident you will discover new information about living at TCU at our web site. Take a careful look at our pages, and we think you'll agree and call on-campus living at TCU ... home.
